Peatland nutrient status and Liberica coffee seedlings growth as a response to biofertilizer

چکیده

Knowing the nutrient status of growing media is a strategy for precision agriculture. The research aims to study Liberica coffee seedling response peat under influence bio-fertilizer. experiment used completely randomized design in factorial treatment arrangement with six replications. 1 st factor was types; fibric, hemic, and sapric 2 nd were inoculated non-inoculated by cellulolytic bacteria. seedlings found very responsive P O 5 Ca deficiencies, so growth not optimal on sapric, whereas did seem respond low K fibric. enrichment bacteria increased from deficiency (6.84 ppm) high (12.25 ppm), although effect yet significant improve growth. By enrichment, stem diameter, height, leaves numbers fibric added 2.33 mm, 9.25 cm, 3.75 strands, hemic 3.05 7.75 4.25 strands 2.18 2.25 1.25 respectively. This first step getting more precise fertilizers planting peatlands.

Contributions of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi to Growth, Biomass and Nutrient Status of Pistachio Seedlings under Saline Conditions

Excessive salt accumulation in soil is a major ecological and agronomical problem, especially in arid and semiarid areas. Excessive soil salinity affects the establishment, development and growth of plants, resulting in major losses of production. A pot experiment was set up to examine the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (Glomus etunicatum and Glomus versiforme) and salinity on the gro...

Azotobacter : A Plant Growth - Promoting Rhizobacteria Used as Biofertilizer

Nitrogen fixation is mainly responsible for improvement of crop yield. In this regard, diazotrophs like Rhizobium, Azotobacter and Azospirillum are important as they enrich nitrogen nutrition in N-deficient soils. Of these, Azotobacter promotes plant growth as well as nitrogen fixation. Thus technology has been developed for making use of Azotobacter biofertilizer for nitrogen and non-nitrogen ...

Role of Mycorrhizae as Biofertilizer and Bioprotectant

Mycorrhizae are obligate fungi that predominate in the roots and soil of higher plants. They form association with plant roots in a host-non specific manner. Seven types of mycorrhizae have been known i.e. arbuscular, ecto, arbutoid, ectendo, ericoid, monotropoid and orchidaceous mycorrhizae. Out of these, arbuscular and ectomycorrhizae are the most abundant and wide spread. They promote plant ...

'Pink' Waxapple Response to Salinity: Growth and Nutrient Uptake

Waxapple (Syzygium samarngense Merr.et Perry) is an important tropical fruit in Taiwan. The famous producing area is located on the coast in Pingtung County. Land subsidence and climate change will tend to soil alkalization more seriously. This study was to evaluate the effects of NaCl in waxapple seedlings. NaCl salinity reduced waxapple shoot growth; it may due to reducing relative water cont...

Citrus response to salinity: growth and nutrient uptake.

To determine the effects of salinity on relative growth rate (RGR), net assimilation rate on a leaf weight basis (NAR(w)), leaf weight ratio (LWR), and nutrient uptake and utilization of citrus, we grew four citrus rootstocks (sour orange, Cleopatra mandarin, Carrizo citrange and Citrus macrophylla) in nutrient solutions containing 0, 10, 20, 40 or 80 mM NaCl for 20, 40 or 60 days. For each ele...
